father's day

i watched my oldest son today-
look so much like i remember my father being.


-they would have really "gotten" eachother

the longer i looked-

the more i saw.

we had a special day. spent on jekyll island

with family

family that has history.

history that binds us without saying a word.

my cousin Gina and I

-said so much today

without saying a word.

we missed our own father's today dearly

we counted our joy by knowing

we both have been blessed with giving really wonderful father's

to our children.
